Changed the upper tailgate this morning and mostly uneventful and almost everything works.

Two things cannot fathom is why the remote has stopped working and how to connect up the xuo500040 amplifier and if the two are somehow connected. I have an antenna lead from the nearside feed without a home and there is two wires missing from the aforementioned amp. One of those connections is the red wires connected to the rear screen.

Having stripped one tailgate off the car and rebuilt it on the car I managed to transpose the two amplifiers.

That thing that looks like an old cassette tape is in fact the aerial for the central locking, if you google or eBay the part number it comes up as an aerial amplifier for the ice system, I guess someone made the error years ago and every time since the part number has had an incorrect description added to it, bit like Chinese whispers...!! Pete
