That looks a great all American car, practical, big, well developped, huge space and specs etc. But why is it so horrible ugly? Would I buy one? Noooo

From that little picture from the A pillar back it looks very much like a Volvo estate......yes the front end treatment (to my eyes) could have been a lot more subtle (but then again it is American) and they did say they wanted it to stand out from the rest and have a unique style, well they sure got that.

It’s OK......from a lot of angles......

Having just bought one of the first L405's - I went for diesel (I know it is popular to demonise them) although EU6 diesels are pretty "clean". I think it's great and as my last RR was a supercharged petrol, SWMBO now believes me when I say I am not having an affair with the lady at the petrol station as I go there less - yet another benefit for diesel Electric cars like in the OP obviously need to be RHD but I will have to phrase I just need to "plug her in every night" slight differently to maintain the benefit  Geoff

i believe when the US army asked for a new vehicle some where in the 80ts, the ended up with the Hummer
one of the advantages of the Hummer as the fact that there was room for the ice cream machine in the front of the vehicle
this vehicle seems to have copied it

Batteries are so "un green" it isn't funny. I'll be staying IC until the hydrogen distribution network develops. Bish.

Electric cars as far as I’m concerned are a backward step. The whole aim of passing my driving test, 41 years ago, was to give me the freedom of going anywhere I wanted, anytime I wanted...... it was total independence.

The older I get the cars I’ve owned have changed but they’ve never been a battery car and never will be. The range anxiety would just be too much and the waiting for the charging, if when you get to a charging point, its available. Having to plan you’re route taking into account all the charging points knowing that it is going to take you a lot longer to do distance than you would in a real engined car and dont get me started on these charging point areas making a killing on refreshment prices and possibly lodgings if its an overnight charge, very much similar to motorway services nowadays as you would literally be a captive consumer.

None of these electric cars will get the mileage they are trying to kid people with. Yes, I agree most manufacturers of combustion cars are economical with the truth but if by some crazy way you run out on the side of the road you can always get going with a can of petrol/Diesel, you cant do that with a battery.

Life would be simple if the choice of car was dependent on where you live/drive. If you live in an urban area you should drive something that is emission free.
