Pretty sure this comes from factory. I had water ingress into the boot area, and I decided to not pay the 250AUD for a new seal and just Sikaflex the old seal as it was in good condition, just the factory sealant had become hard. I cleaned out the crust with a screwdriver and compressed air and then reapplied Sikaflex inside the membrane channel and refit the seal.

Thanks!! Mine was torn in several different places so replaced the entire piece. It actually comes with the sealant already applied inside. |

The white sealant is never supposed to harden leaving the seal to always do its job as the monocoque flexes and through weather fluctuations |
