Clack clack clack behind the dash

The usual suspect behind the dash upon opening the car 1st time of the day bit of research on here pointed to the stepper motor on the hevac unit behind the dash.
Removed the centre vents and found the wire to the little hot cold wheel not connected turns out the plastic retaining clip was broken see my fix in the photo.
Removed the centre console to make access behind the control panel easier and unclipped the motor.
Stripped it all down bit of new silicon grease reassembled and back together.....seems ok at the moment will see tomorrow 1st thing.

Here is the photo of my cable fix the little plastic clip that hold it in place has broken off at some point.
Drilled a 1mm hole used a paper clip to secure it in place allowing the cable to rotate on its mounting
