It’s a subframe mounted under the rear end, there’s a recent thread of one being fitted. Bumper has to come off. |

Should be a detachable hitch, as long as it has the correct bumper panel, they’re not very noticeable , have a look at this thread page 4 for pics of the kit:

It is a useful "extra" reversing parking sensor, and a tailgater deterrent..... .

Don’t forget if you do remove it you will need to source and replace the rear crash bar which is taken off to fit the tow bar. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

The rear crash bar goes back on when fitting the tow bar. It’s the two parts which incorporate the tow eye and the exhaust hangars which need to be sourced. John

When I had my tow bar fitted to my 405, it came back with the rear crash bar in the boot.

I’ve fitted one recently, they’re not to bad to do actually. Yes the bumper has to come off and you will have to source a new crash bar to refit in its place. |
