Just had a look at my boot, Mike. I have a 255.55.20 style 502 spare and my boot floor goes in flush. Though Craig's post means that you shouldn't have a problem. John

Thanks John, but I have tried everything and I can’t get it to fit flush with the new tyre inflated and the wheel lifter.

Mike - will the boot floor sit flat without the lifter and a little air out of the tyre? Just curious for future....going 55 next on mine. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Yes Rob, it is fine fully inflated with a brand new Pirelli Scorpion Verde 255 55 20 , but a devil to get in and out without the lifter, hence I have left the lifter fitted and just learned to live with the slightly raised floor which is covered with a rubber load mat anyway.

I am very tempted also, but would prefer if it came with none slip black rubber finish rather than polished wood which will inevitably get scratched ( or covered with a mat.)
