Fitted this upgrade today and not only does the look of the paddle shifters look fantastic the gear change is instant so happy with this kit and easy to fit best thing I have brought for the RR.

Having been one of the early adopters and now covered over 1,500 miles with the paddles fitted I feel I am well placed to share an honest review.
Someone commented that while they look good, I'll probably use them twice and then never touch them again. This is absolutely not the case for me for the following reasons:

I fitted the kit to my 55 plate TD6 and have found them to be brilliant. The TD6 is not the fastest car in the world and often during gentle cruising will suddenly decide that the extra 5% of throttle I asked for required it to drop a gear but not fully lock up the torque converter. Cue high revs and unnecessary slippage until either the speed increased enough that it was happy, or I lifted slightly and the box changed back up.
With the paddles I am able to change gear in anticipation of these sorts of events which means the drive is generally more smooth.
With 137,000 miles on the clock, the torque converter in mine is not in the best of health. Accelerating hard in any gear would mean selecting the next gear down and slipping the TC every time, leading to accelerated wear of the TC and pushing it closer to box failure as a result. I generally change to the gear I want ahead of accelerating now, and get less of this situation.
Mine seems to like to slip 4th A LOT, so by pulling it to 3rd, accelerating and letting the revs raise quite high before changing up to 4th and then 5th, I can overcome almost all of the slippage entirely.
Cruising on the motorway (or anywhere that suits 50mph+) I'll pull the + paddle to keep in 5th, then floor it to accelerate and pass, before then letting off to the cruise I was doing before.

To say these paddles have transformed the drive for me is an understatement. I had an E61 5 series with a similar engine and similar state of wear ZF box and during my own 120k mile ownership (sold @ 204k miles) these paddles would have been a dream on that car. I actually miss them when I drive my wife's 1 series, wiggling my fingers in the vain hope that a paddle will miraculously appear on the back of the wheel.

In conclusion - I'm very, very impressed. I do find that sometimes they don't always react to a pull which can be annoying, but generally they're very good. I wonder if its 'the first pull after a period of inactivity' rather than anything else. Maybe this can be confirmed?
Also the box is painfully slow to react to an input, but that's obviously not a fault of the paddles and is firmly GM's issue with the box design itself.

So my advice is simple: Buy them, you won't be disappointed

P.S. The '-' & '+' actually illuminate with the dash lights at night. Such a lovely little touch and really gives a feeling of OEM to them.

The L322 Paddleshift kit is appearing in LRO Magazine.

This month's issue (available on the newsstands from the 5th August) has it featured in a section on "new stuff" and there will be a full installation and review in one of the next couple of issues.

This will be the first thing I get for my truck when I have $300 that doesn't already have something else to do.

A bit late to the party I know!

I've got an 07 4.2SC, I've got the paddles and bought the electronics from eBay back in March but haven't fitted it yet.

I'm looking for fitting instructions for the facelift interior if anyone can help please, I'm a bit reluctant to try and fit my kit without them.

So, I hadn't read all the instructions ... When I looked again, there, printed very clearly were the instructions to fit the kit to 07-09 vehicles.

Have just fitted my kit, had a quick test drive and they're awesome
