Is yours a facelift car, there were some knocking around on 67 plates? Mine is a 2019 car and is the same as yours, I notice Stans is a 2016 car and has square bungs/grommets around the wiper spigots. I'd never realised they changed that much between model years. |

I just took another look there is a rubber peice under bonet which sits down on top of the square plastic blocks but it seems still has space for crap to get through. --

If you wanted to close the holes search ebay for black textured paint protection film. You could cut it to shape and stick it along the top edge.

You can see here there is a piece of foam under bonnet that sits on the plastic locks and between them stop crap getting into the hinge area. Except gaps are perhaps too big and allow stuff through.

Its strange as Stans looks a better design. Mine is a 19MY car but has the plastic trim with channels moulded into the far ends of the plastic trim, like yours, which sits on top of a piece of foam/rubber stuff. After reading your post, I went out with an airline and the amount of crud and bits of leaf that came out from that area was worrying and I don’t park under trees.
