If you mean the green seal that sits inside the plastic piece that slides over the throttle body then form what I understand, this is not available on it's own, you have to buy a complete part including the pipe. Seems ridiculous as this part will lose it's ability to seal properly over the years, more so if the part is taken off from time to time to clean the throttle butterfly. 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE |

Sounds like a challenge for someone to find a source for that seal. I bet with enough digging it can be bought on its own... Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

This seal is missing the lip that the original seal has, it's easy to remove and check, just make sure you put it back in the same way it came out as I suspect the lip presses against the throttle body as pressure builds up. Place it the wrong way and it would allow the pressure to pass by causing an air leak. I'm doing this from memory so I'd advise you check just in case I'm talking out of my backside 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE |

4 of these used as inlet manifold to head gaskets on a 2L engine so very likely to be much too small. |

If anyone can supply an old one as a template sample, it might be worth a chat with this place ??

Sounds like a good idea, although probably better to use a new seal as the template. I imagine there are a few of us on here that would look to buy the seal if it could be made 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE |

To be honest Mike, not really. It might be a bit smoother on pick up. The throttle butterfly was absolutely caked though along with the MAP sensor. If you wonder if yours need doing just take the MAP sensor out and have a look how contaminated it is. Cheers Kev. |
