Pcourtney. Many thanks for your reply, I have a basic understanding of the LR MOST system, what I would like to know is what are the boxes telling us. Are they what the system has in the fibre optic loop and are they indentifiable? |

Sorry not much help to the OP, but surely the above isn't right -- for example the simple fix for most (no pun intended) that freeze is to remove the Bluetooth module (likely to suffer from water ingress) and 'loop' the fibre connectors - this would suggest ring and not star wouldn't it? Bushy30. The n/s/r compartment housing all the gagets is absolutely bone dry. The "Hidden menu" hack self diagnostic system states that it recognises 8 mpr, however the system like many other members posts state, it has no radio volume knob operation, no selection of CD,AUX,TV/DVD, telephone or voice control and no rear camera. Plus the TSD has the logo on it. I have traced the MOST fibre signal and it is completing its circuit fully also completed a hard reset a number of times and the battery is a quality branded one that is fully charged and 1 month old. The fault literally just occured during the time of parking up and shopping for about 40 mins. I was curious as to what the screen was telling me about the system status. Everything was working 100% prior to the issue occurring and as I am in the process of preparing the FF for disposal I need to get it fixed. I do not have an iid tool, just a Foxwell 510 NT which does not "program". I will book it in somewhere to get it sorted if it does not right itself. My guess is a glitch and it has "forgotten" it has the now non operational items. Happy days. Thanks. |

Apologies, I hadn't realised you had an issue -- just thought you found a screen and wondered what it was telling you.

When you say you have traced the fibre signal and it's completes it's circuit, can I just confirm that you have light at all connectors from the start (I'm assuming that's the TSD) to the units in the boot and back around again? 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE |

@RichM63. Just read your post from end of May. My RR symptoms are very similar and I note you changed the vehicle battery recently. Did you wait for the car to shut down before disconnecting the battery? If not, it is very likely that the CCF files have become corrupt, hence you have the issues you have. I did not change my battery, the problems just happened! Tomorrow I am speaking with someone I used to work at LR with (now I have a contact number) to see if he can assist. Regards. |

Update. Well after much discussion and investigation it would seem that my issue could have been caused by anything. A bump in the road, a glitch from any of the cars systems, a breakdown of one of the thousands of electrical components in the vehicle even an outside source. A nearby power source, overhead cables, radio transmissions or someone locking a vehicle by remote key fob near my vehicle. Radio wave transmissions can interfer with the locking key fob signal and "corrupt" or not shutdown the systems correctly. Hence why some vehicles never go to "sleep" whilst parked in airport car parks or near frequent radio transmission areas like a ferry port or harbour. So, the SDD was hooked up and a complete vehicle fault code list was extracted, nothing too much was found, the two main codes were U1A03-55 and U1A03-62. Configuration Parameters. So these were cleared and the vehicle was given a full reboot and software update. At first it did not work, then it did then it didn't. So hooked up again and carried out the reboot and upgrade once more. Result, all working again as it should be. Phew. So a few more jobs to do over the next month or so prior to disposal. |
