Help please.I am buying a 2015 3.0TDV6 from a private seller.Before I agreed to buy I put the private plate number on ULEX checker website and came back with being no charge now the original plate is on running the same check shows is isnt ULEX friendly,HPi website now shows as Euro 5 well.
Is there a way of checking in case database hasn't been updated yet?

I’d ask the seller to send you a photo of the AdBlu filler under the bonnet. If it needs DEF (AdBlu) then it will be EU6, if it doesn’t it will be EU5. 👍

I’ve just put my private Reg on my 4.4 into the ULeZ checker and it’s not showing as exempt even though it’s a EU6..????

If I put the OY16 Reg it came with then it does come up as OK but if I put in the Private plate it’s on then it picks up what the car is but not the exemption due to EU6. I’ve sent them an application to get it exempt, but weird how it isn’t off the batt. It may be that the first owner in the one you are looking at had it exempted on the private plate but the ULEZ checker is a bit slow on picking it up the change or doesn’t recognise the 15 plate as being EU6?? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

AdBlue is from 65 reg onwards, if it's a 15 then it's probably Euro 5. Only Range Rovers since 1988

drove in london in January ,just past bucks palace and got a ticket....proved mine was euro6 and fine was cancelled..i guess my personnel plate confused them... ... - .- -.

I’ve just sent them some pics and a copy of the V5, to pre empt any problem. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

What is euro 6 ... asking as a 5.0 owner

Environmental considerations aside, it’s something that basically means people living in or frequenting London/ the North and South Circular might be put off buying a diesel car not meeting Euro 6 emissions standards (i.e manufactured before September 2015). Because if those standards are not met, daily ULEZ charges apply. Those charges are due to expand from
covering London to cover all areas inside the North and South Circular from 26 October 2021.

We don’t all live in London/ the North and South Circular or need to frequent big cities in our non Euro 6 diesel Range Rovers though. So... perhaps non Euro 6 engines shouldn’t be binned as worthless just yet; and how long before the Euro 6 is superseded by the next best thing?

As mentioned before maybe they should pay us to drive into london and clean the air up for them....  Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc
