Error code - "engine failed to start"

Folks, just throwing this out there incase anyone quickly know.

Tried to start the car this morning. No joy. All electrical systems start up, radio, dashboard, heVac etc etc but engine just doesn't turn over.

Connected IID tool and it gives error

"P0A0F-00 28 Engine failed to start"

tried leaving for 15 mins for it to go to sleep -tried again - same thing happens.

Error message not particularly useful - I am well aware the engine didn't start by the fact that.....it didn't start! Laughing

Battery reads 12.3 volts and no low voltage messages on dash board.

any ideas before I resort to call landrover assist?

thanks

i'm hoping that i am wrong but a quick google comes up with a seized engine or gearbox,

P0a0f Description
The HV control ECU detects this DTC and effects fail–safe control if the engine or transaxle gear has seized up, or foreign objects have been caught in either of them. If an engine malfunction occurs, an engine malfunction signal is sent from the ECM to the power management control ECU (HV CPU)

yeah - I saw that - hoping it's not that - this is already its second engine and is only 10k miles old.
last used on sunday - no issues at all. Praying its just a sensor failure.

In fact I can give an answer now.

Before calling LR assist, I though I better call the immobiliser company...who "co-incidently" had done a software update to my unit sunday night.....I think you can probably guess the rest.... Laughing Laughing Laughing

Anyways....profuse apologies from them, and its all sorted now. But more importantly - no seized engine. Shocked Razz

I love the fact that the IID told you "engine failed to start", no Censored , thats why you plugged the IID in.
Whilst frustrating as the real problem was it is far better than the alternatives. letters not necessarily in the right order
