United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

I've been toying this thus idea for a while now and seeing as mine has had a starting issue for a couple weeks now, I thought to myself "Well, as it's in the garage...."

Forgot to post in here. Mine has been done now.

The increase in sound is subtle but so worth it. At motorway speeds there is no noticeable difference and no drone.
But at start up it sounds a lot more raw and you can hear that V8 rumble.

Really pleased with the change. I will post a video when i get a chance but its quite hard to film with only one person! Jordan

Would be great to hear and see if still possible!? Very Happy

I'm thinking about the removal of both resonators too - but as it's forbidden in switzerland to change parts on a running vehicle, i'm looking for a method, without 'seeing' the change at first sight. maybe it's possible to remove the parts, open the resonators from above, remove the inside (soundproofing), and reassemble it all together. should be hidden for the main 2-year-inspectation...

what do you think? possible?

To add my 2peneth... If you then change/fit a 5.0 rear exhaust box, the sound then quietens down to a much more subtle sound! This i did on a 4.2 SC of my own a while ago... I found mine to be too loud BUT, mine had done some miles and thus could have made the rear box cook?

So, moral of the story... Look on fleabay for a 5.0SC exhaust (they are usually cheap as no market for them) and you then have the perfect backup plan Thumbs Up
