Baben - ever wished you'd never posted a thread!! Anyway, Fox's suggestion sounds the best bet, as spacers underneath the footrest would not alter its look to any extent, mind you, if you've already glued some rubber on to it that looks already altered. Steve

i am gonna regret this.....



so I went into the garage at 2am and did the mod:



Thumbs Up

pulled the cheap and nasty black plastic cover off the footrest - the piece underneath is part of the carpet, can't take it out - the cover just pushes in with 5 round 8.5mm "studs" into holes in the raised section of carpet
Screwed in a 30mm thick double-walled piece of black plastic cut to shape with a few holes drilled to accomodate the cover, snap the cover on, and thats all. Thanks to Fox for the best idea. Thanks to the rest of you for the laugh

it looks nice and stock and if it makes you more comfortable then fairplay ....i cant say ive had any issues with mine and im only 5,11" but maybe when i drive it tomorrow i might notice this now your've brought it to my attention.......
