Afternoon all,

I have been wavering between a L322 and L405 5.0SC for some time now, but am now in a position to make the leap. I have been keeping my eye out for a nice Green version above all.

I have found a nice looking green L322 on Auto Trader which has had a reconditioned engine in the last 2,000 miles, but it is a fair distance away from me (it's near Grantham) and as I am new to these vehicles, I would quite like to get a specialist to look over it to confirm it is in relatively good order, following which I could arrange a transfer of funds and make the journey in the not too distant future to collect it.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a specialist in Lincolnshire/near Grantham, who I could ask to view the car and check all the usual faults and failings listed in the excellent buyers guide on the Wiki?

Does anyone have any thoughts on a specialist or is anyone in the Grantham area and at a lose end and wants to have a jog around an L322 to check that there aren't any major issues with the arches, sills, boot shuts etc...?

you could try the RAC or AA..or do a google with the area included in the search.. ... - .- -.

Famous Four at Louth...but, assuming they would do it, they would charge.

Thanks for the reply. I have already been in touch with Famous Four and they would do it, but they said they were closed for the moment due to the virus. I have given them another email this morning to see if they are able to do it yet.

Hopefully they will be back open soon then!

I had a "specialist" check my car before I bought it.
he reported it was fine apart from recommending I ask for a new mot as there were only weeks left on the existing.
when I picked it up on the drive home I immediately noticed it was crabbing.
dropped it in to a reliable local tyre place and there were 3 different types of tyre on it and it needed a four wheel alignment.
cleared that up and it drives a dream now.
so, just be wary of some specialists
