LED front fogs

Hi all

I stripped down my front fogs yesterday and cleaned the lenses as they were milky.

Since owning Sylvia I have uprated the headlights and sidelights so am now left with normal yellow light from the, now clean, front fogs.

Just trawling around on EBay at the vast choice of H11 LED bulbs and thought I would ask if anyone on the forum has upgraded?

Jim

The optics of the reflectors/lens will not have been designed for LED's so by fitting them you will upset the beam pattern & loose the even "cut-off" you need for effective fog lights.

I tried that with my VW T5 & turned "adequate" fog lights into "useless except for DRL's". The light scatter at night was horrendous. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6

Hmmmm, yes I know what you mean about the beam pattern.

I put a pair of LED’s in my main beam’s. Very bright, crisp, white light but the beam pattern was all over the place. I ended up taking them out and putting a set of Osram Night Breakers in.

I was hoping that as the fogs are a lot lower that the high/low beam units that the beam pattern would be better.

Has anyone tried the Osram LED car bulbs?

They are expensive but appear to have good reviews.

There are lots of aftermarket LED fog lamps available so, just buy a set of LED fog lamps and pop yours in the box on a shelf in the shed Thumbs Up
