Sluggish turn over even after immediately fitting a new bat?

The fun continues, I purchased a new Exide ea1000 battery as my battery tester said the old battery was tired and was struggling to turn over the engine. I fitted a the new 100%fulky charged battery and its still sluggish? Is the starter motor about to expire?
Thanks for any advice.. Thumbs Up 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

I used to be indecisive and have a split personality... but we are ok now...I think?

Check voltage at the starter motor I replaced the loom from battery /alt/starter a few years ago because of internal corrosion might be that or just add another cable leaving the rest in situ
