Need a car - Recommendations?

OH is looking for a car, wants:

0-60 under 9 Seconds, as current Alfa V6 is around 7.
Automatic - no clutchless manuals, proper Auto - ideally with manual shift option.
Air Con is a must, for obv reasons!

Oh and under 3K

Was looking at a PT cruiser, but they are slow as slim Edna on her moped going uphill.

Ideas?

Subaru Legacy 2.5
Subaru Impreza turbo?

I am not biased towards subaru, just had all of the above and never had a problem with them at all.

Don't expect fuel economy much better than your Range with that one Dan..................... about 20mpg on a good day! Great colour and it will be fun on a sunny day! Did you also get the "shower cap" with it as the V6 3 door should have one for when the hard top is off and you get caught out in the rain! Should also give you hours of pleasure polishing all that grey plastic back to it's former glory. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

What the hell is the deal with those front spot/fog/fugly lights?

Other than that, quite tidy, perfect for mincing along on a summers day down the coast with the roof/back open. Cool 2006 Mercedes CLS

Just thouroughly clean/dry the greying plastic, and apply. Watch the video, it's magic! Gerry
