Just a quick question, searching didn't seem to answer my question.
Stupidly, not even sure how, I left my lights on the other week and with lockdown car is not getting used much at all. I am getting the 'battery low' warning message when I get in the car. Thought I would just put the trickle charge on it. However when looking in the manual it says battery needs to be removed to be charged? Is that right?? Are you able to trickle charge the battery and if so do you connect it up to the points under the bonnet that you would use to jump start or do you need to connect direct to the battery? If it is just connecting to points in bonnet does this charge both batteries?

Edited to add - my charger is a CTEK XS0.8 - would this do the job?

What did you find about using this method charging the secondary aux battery? 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

I've just tried it - the secondary battery was showing 12.4v - the main battery using under bonnet posts 12.0v

I plugged in the CTEK to the posts & both showed 12.6v

Not entirely conclusive - but appears the CTEK may be charging both.

I've left it connected so I'll see if there is any difference tomorrow.

Your Charge is very small, it’s safe but may take many days to charge the batteries, keep check the voltages, you need to see the volts come over 13.5v while on charge to fully charge the batteries
