Are you in South London/Croydon then?

For other vaguely local options, given the above mixed feedback:
- In more central London (Battersea), RR London gets pretty good reviews
- I used LRR Range Rovers in Greenwich this year for the first time (as Brownchurch moved out of East London to Essex), and they seemed good
- Gigglepin4x4 along towards Sevenoaks are very well known

Probably several others not too far away as well.

I'm in Kenley so just down the road from Millenium. My BMW was worked on by iAuto along Purley Way who are good though a touch on the expensive side. Ideally would like somewhere I can easily drop / collect from. I have heard of Gigglepin so will look into them - how is their pricing compared to others? I expect on the top end?

Cheers for the recommendations!

SO has anyone else had a good experience with them? I'm new to RR ownership and was thinking to use my BMW indie for any work that needed doing as they also work on LRs. Millenium is close by however so was considering them....

My mate owns a garage in Carshalton, which I help out at when I am not busy. Small independent, not a specialist, but a FFRR owner and lover.

Try him if it's any help.

Orchard Garage. 02087731658

Thanks for the recommendation, will definitely keep him in mind!

I have bad news about iAuto also, I had my 4.2SC FF head gaskets done there, they took 6 weeks, and then they trashed the LPG kit on it. Total job was almost £4k. They did pay back the costs of repair to LPG £250. But wouldn't repair the oil leak on the rocker cover.

I would't recommend or use them again.

Please note this is my opinion and there will be others.

Always interested to hear of other experiences. I've been using them for about 3yrs with my BMW (which the L322 is replacing) and they've been more or less good wiht a few small exceptions. Key for me is that the boss has been very quick to support and discuss any issues with very short notice drop offs and collection.

My main gripe would be that they would always offer the most expensive repair option even when there was a simple (free) fix possible. Once I wised up to this, it got better as I just wouldn't use them for those things.

Your review does make me reconsider taking the L322 to them though and reinforces my wish to find a good specialist.

During the job they were a nightmare! I always had to phone them to get updates, started as a week job, then I added more work, timing chains and guides whilst it was apart, and service. That was an excuse to take another week. Then the mechanic who was doing it was off sick, and the heads were away being tested and skimmed, then the parts were on back order (Spoke to LR and they were on stop for not paying account.

Then denying they cut cables for LPG 'they were like that' well if they were there was no way it would have worked in the first place. We don't accept any responsibility for work on the LPG system. But did pay up for the repair when I went down and refused to move from reception until they did (also had 2-3 other customers waiting, so asked quietly and got louder).

Because they had the car so long, I asked them to do the MOT as well as it had expired, said they would do for free as I had spent so much with them. Then charged me full price, when questioned I was told my service adviser who had offered me a free MOT had 'left the business'! and there was no record of the offer.

Then when it was leaking oil, they took it in for a day, and said they wouldn't touch it as it had LPG fitted.

Disclaimer again, This is my version of events and opinion other are welcome to their own, there is always 2 sides to every story.

I'd never use them again. They had my 2011 4.4 Tdv8 in to repair an oil leak and charged me £2,600. Upon collecting the car, one of the turbo hoses popped off and had to wait another hour for them to fix that.

I was having the oil leak fixed as the car was being put up for sale the next day at my friends garage. Within 24 hours the oil leak returned. Following another extensive strip down it was discovered the cam oil cover had been incorrectly fitted and was allowing oil past. This seal was something like £7.50, but the work required to get to it was huge. Millenium had charged me for a new cam oil cover and the labour already. The garage made contact with Millenium to raise their concerns and never even got a response back.

The final nail in the coffin was that mysteriously, the car went in with a full tank and came back with a little over a quarter...
