How they (barely) changed Evoque Mk1 vs Mk2 tells me you are right...
.. Cheers, Greg

Do we know how JLR are going to play this?

This year? 2020 (September) : ------------------------ (not sure there was talk about a facelift but I find that hard to believe)
Next year 2021 (September) : Next generation L405
Following year 2022 (September : Next generation L494

I also know they're going to announce the Road Rover and XJ BEV this year no idea how they will both fit into things.

Thanks
DM

I have a feeling there's going to be a small non-existant model year update this year so that the 19/20/21 cars are all easily interchangeable if they've backed up in the supply chain.

Will see what gets announced, would have to normally be before the end of this month if they were going to launch later in the year . . .

McGovern has said that the basic look is now established, so I’d expect an Evoque-style evolution.

"McGovern has said that the basic look is now established, so I’d expect an Evoque-style evolution."

And that is where the problem lies, making every vehicle that carries a Range Rover badge look identical regardless of size will begin to wane on people spending out on new cars. After all, the idea of getting a new car is that you want the latest model to be different so that others can see you have the newest available. Whats the point in spending in excess of £100k if your car looks similar to one that cost £30k used?
I'm not in the position to be spending £100k + on a new car but if I was I'd want something that didn't look like an Evoque from a distance.
Maybe it's time they got a new designer on board, McGovern has done a fair job of lifting the design but I fear his pencil can only draw one shape.

Although McGovern does a fair impression of a man coasting to his retirement, offering one single design in several different sizes isn’t as idle and crazy as it first sounds. It’s served BMW very well for decades,
