United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Farallon Black
New MK5 Range Rover in Autocar

Hi Guys,

New MK5 Range Rover in lastest edition of Autocar from a day or two ago.

Didn't really like the artists impression so hope it doesn't end up like that!!

They're saying its on track to launch by the end of 2021 - but I've heard from two dealers now that they were told 2022 at the earliest.

Anyone else got any info on it, is Autocar or the dealers I've talked to wrong?

I also heard they're moving the production of the SCV8 to JLR now, not sure how accurate that is either?

Thanks!
DM

Could be launch late 2021 & first cars to dealers 2022 ?

Dealers will always want you to think its later - as people pretty much stop buying (without a significant discount) when there's a new model just round the corner.....

The Auto Express article seems to indicate that the Crossover Citroen looking thing is a new model - supposedly more car like......

Ignore it. Autocar have about the same level of credibility in their “photo scoops” as AutoExpress do these days.

This is just another PhotoShop montage of existing LR parts and made up stuff.

I recommend that you complain in to the person that fabricated the image. Unfortunately, there’s only so much that can be done with photos of current LR products and image manipulation software.

Will this “Crossover” be in addition to or a replacement for the Velar? If the former, it seems to be treading on the Velars toes. Confused

No the article on the full size one that I was referring to is in the print edition of the latest Autocar its not online yet and I can't get screengrabs of it wonder when they will post the article to the internet?

To be honest the back end looks wrong on so many levels but again its artist impression.

Have attached the front cover to this post.

Just wondering if anyone on here had any clarity on whether its 2021/MY22 or 2022/MY22.5/MY23 I know the RRS will follow a year behind it roughly, just wondering if now is the right time to buy a new L405 with the new one coming in just over a year away?

Any thoughts?

Thanks
DM

As long as people keep taking this stuff seriously, these magazines will keep making this nonsense up! Censored

Why encourage them?
