My decision can (fortunately) be put off until August/September, when mine will have around 99,000 miles just before it’s third birthday.

I've decided not to take out any warranty and instead keep aside a bit ewach month for anything that comes up. If it doesn't come up - then into savings / investments it goes.

Most insurance policies these days seem to be a bit of a lottery, with warranty companies top of the pile
