The code reader is an Autel MD802 all systems I have reset all drivetrain faults and left the car ticking over on my driveway for 5 mins then gone up the road and the restricted performance comes back . Checked the faults again and the only two that returned referred to the B side turbo boost solenoid. The restricted performance light is the red one. If I start the car and drive off immediately I can drive all day no problem. The fault only occurs when it is left ticking over for more than 4or 5 minutes |

I'm sorry but I'm not yet familiar enough with the fault you describe, YET....

When the turbo change over valve sticks (or seizes) the car runs fine at low revs, it is only when the engine revs near 2500 rpm and the 2nd turbo can’t operate that the car trips into restricted performance mode.

Hello again everyone. I am still confused by this fault. I can now make it happen. If I reset all drive train faults and start the car and drive off immediately I can drive all day (did this yesterday) and have no problems. I checked the fault codes this morning and all was clear . I then started the car and left it ticking over for 5 minutes and as soon as I set of afterwards the restricted performance came on. I returned home and checked the fault codes again and the following codes came up.

Sorry Mark, but I am equally baffled, but if it were mine, I would clear all Fault codes and take it for a really good blast.

I was thinking the same as Mike...check all 4 hoses. Originals are a weak point. Most have been upgraded....see my gallery for the upgraded versions |

Hi yes, I have after much frustration. I found it by accident when I was carrying out a service and had the engine sound cover off. The engine was ticking over and I noticed that two of the vacuum hoses in the immediate vicinity of the vac pump were collapsed so I switched off and examined them and they had gone soft. I replaced them all and since then the problem has gone. I assume that when the engine was ticking over not enough vacuum was getting through the restriction thus setting up weird fault codes. At higher engine speeds enough vacuum got through to operate things. |

Please could you add a photo with arrows to describe exactly which hoses.

Do the hoses you found collapsed go around the front left engine cover strut? Two of mine look collapsed as they go around the strut. |

I have attached a photo of the vac pipes concerning number 1 was the worst it had gon very soft and was collapsing almost completely even on tickover number 2 was collapsing 80 percent .

Thanks for the picture. My concern was the two pipes that are more or less touching the engine cover post directly below the wiring loom. The rubber connector on the end of those pipes are all 'sucked in' on mine if that makes sense. |
