Seems like its OK to have no MOT if you're on an essential trip - might be interesting to see how that one plays out, particularly if you're involved in an accident and then have to justify the essential nature....

Wonder how this effects your Insurance as you don't need a valid MOT to still be Insured for use on the Road. |

I believe they are extending current certificates, so technically, you will still have a valid MOT for insurance purposes.

I think so - until reversed anyway - this is what it says so seems like it's a rolling 6 months & not from a fixed date -

I've just realised that my first MoT is due on the very day that this extension runs out.

Why not just find a garage that is still open for tests and book your car in now to avoid any potential backlog problem. You could even take it a month early. |
