It sounds as though the corners need a bit more polishing. The legal minimum clearance here is 3mm.

Idk but here in the states you can buy a Cooper 255/19 for $300 each. That’s it.
Going to a 18” wheel opens up a lot of room for nice wheels and tires. We have a lot off-road trails here and Moab is just up the road a few hours. I’m going to order some nicer wheels after this stupid Covid crap settles down and life is back to normal.

Hmmm really? How come that if I want to get those tyres in the UK they are shipping from the United States Laughing

Heck even tirerack sells Cooper in 20" for just $220 delivered.

Anyway just saying, naturally you can do whatever your want, just doesn't make any sense to me.

How big clearance you got from caliper to wheel? I managed to fit original late style LR 18” wheel over Brembos but it required some caliper polishing. They did look rather bad anyway. Very Happy But clearance between caliper corners to wheel is about 1mm. Embarassed

I tried to put my disco 2 wheels on with a 25 mm spacer and they still rubbed on the brakes. I could have gone to a 30 mm and they would fit. The other issue is finding a stupid 5x120 bolt pattern wheel. Yours looks great.

The main reason to go to 18" wheels is that you can have more sidewall and off road more sidewall can be a god send. Just think about all the owners that complain about small potholes smashing their 22" wheels fitted with 35 ratio tires. Off road those "potholes" can be a lot bigger so more sidewall gives more protection to your rims. It also lets you air-down the tires for better traction if needed. I'm in Canada and have 19" rims, tire selection is even less for 19's and 18" genuine rims are like rocking horse s@$t so I may go the Jeep wheel route myself. If I do I'll be sure to remove the Jeep centre cap!

I have two center caps and waiting on two more to show up. Hopefully I get her back on the road soon. I believe it’s the fuel pump this time.
