Replacement tyres L405

Hello

My first ever post so please bear with me...

I have a L405 2015 AB, the car is fitted with 21 wheels currently with Perrelli Verde All Season. The tyres will be up for replacement soon and I am seeking advice on options, usage is 80% road, 15% wet muddy fields and rough farm tracks, 5% ice and slush (5 months of a year).

Any worldly advice from other Range Rover owners on what tyre to fit?

We have general grabbers 20inch on our discovery, they are good in all conditions but aren’t great on wet road nor is the ride too comfy plus I don’t think they fit 21 inch wheels

Thanks in advance

You will not find an AT tyre in 21” or 22” in a suitable size for the L405. I found a way round it and have 2 sets of tyres and wheels :

1). Summer set Continentals on 22” Turbines (285/40/22)
2). Winter set for the shooting season are 285/50/20 Cooper AT3, they are the only AT tyres speed rated for an L405 in that size - I can highly recommend them and would definitely buy them again - they are quiet, give a good ride, handle faultlessly and excellent in mud and snow. They are also better than the GG AT’s I had on my last RR. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Personally i would steer clear of Contis and General Grabbers due to noise, i would stick with Pirelli Scoprions Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thats just me

Scorpion Verde in 21" are my summer tyres, generally OK but suffer from tramlining. I'd probably buy them again, but would see what was on the market at the time.

For the winter I have a set of 20" wheels with Goodyear Duratrac 255/55R20. These have been good for winter and off road conditions, but do use more fuel, are a bit noisier and blunt performance and handling. They are also rated to only 99mph. I accept those drawbacks and drive more gently.

You can find a list of LR homologated tyres on ownerinfo.landrover, the Duratracs are the homologated AT tyre, there are various winter tyres, and summer obviously. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Johny. Interested to know how u get on with the new tyres Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

I’ve been running scorp verde on my 332 for a couple of years. Have just put a set on the 405, been happy with them so far. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks all for the replies, I will try the all season and review next winter for a more winter/AT wheel and tyre option
