The resonator delete is supposed to give a nice burble but without much drone at cruising speeds (which the backbox delete is supposed to cause). Check in the search for previous posts on this. I’m planning on having the resonators removed from my 4.2SC in October, as a birthday present! One old post mentioned a custom exhaust shop near Bexhill who have done it. There’s also a YouTube video where you can see what it sounds like.

Thanks.

I'm having a few conversations with local bespoke fitters. All seem to recommend to leave the middle alone or alter it, but not delete it if I want a deep V8 burble without crackle and pop. I'm talking to one who could do a bespoke system with the valves so I could arrive home in stealth without waking the neighbours Smile

Then, as my car just got a clean bill of health, we were discussing a potential remap and pulley upgrade as well Laughing Although reading between the lines they suggested a remap can improve fuel economy and should be sufficient.

Saying that they mentioned that my current exhaust system isn't standard but seems to be an original full Hawke conversion with a black backbox and black exhaust. All very stealth-like Very Happy

Hmm choices, choices...
