Scotland 2014 Range Rover Vogue TDV6 Mariana Black
Hello and first question

Hello all. Just upgraded from a 57 RRS (great car) to a 2014 FFRR 3.0td vogue ( stunning car).

First question is replacement engine. The history shows a replacement engine and turbo in April 2018 with LR paying 70% of the 20k cost.

Is there a report showing what engine number modified or unaffected engines start at? Will a LR replacement be “modified” to prevent this from happening?

What percentage of original engines were affected by this failure?

Ok , i know more than 1 question.

Even in the Vogue spec ( 71k new with 5k of extras ) this is fantastic spec.

The failure seems to be somewhat random / cause unknown. So AFAIK, the replacement engine will be no different to the one that failed.

The failure rate seems to be low, but well publicised.

Ryan did a a good write up & there are several other threads

Thanks for the reply. That helps put my mind at rest. 18 months ago Land Rover paid £14000 towards the repair and the previous owner only had to pay £5500......bargain

And i now have an 80k milage car with a 20k engine and turbo
