Left it with them anyway because there was the slightest of imperfections where they'd inadvertantly nicked a part of a rim fitting the tyre. Fair play, they immediately apologised and said they'd do it again. Very impressed.

Just a point to be aware... The turbines can only be refurbished a couple of times as there is only a small amount of alloy on the front castings... So, if mistakes are made, damage occurs? Be careful allowing just one wheel refurbishment as this could change the front face profile compared to the other three... And, if damaged again? This might mean the wheels as a set cannot be refurbished... Rolling Eyes

Thumbs Up

I bet they look awesome with black inserts ☝️👿🤣

Had my chance and opted for factory grey to keep everything original... and just in case I didn't like them and wanted to sell the shiny new turbines instead of my existing set of 22" style 5004s...

Too late for black inserts now Laughing Thumbs Up

Cheers Craig, been through the refurbishment implications with them from the outset (can't recommend the place highly enough) Thumbs Up

Just seen this thread, mine have black inserts and I think that look great with the Barolo black, but it made me think....

The selling garage put new wheels and tyres on my car prior to me collecting it, I now think that the wheels aren't genuine, mine have hollow "spokes" at the rear, something I found on this site.

Wondering if I need to offload them and replace with genuine?

I've also swapped over the tyres, as they were a brand I'd not come across before and now have a set of pretty much brand new tyres sitting in the garage. Ho Hum Shocked 2013 405 TDV6 Vogue SE Barolo Black

Unknown brand tyres usually accompany 'replica' wheels......

Genuine wheels will generally have Conti's or Pirellis as AFAIK they are the only 2 that are factory fit.

If you like them and they’re wearing well, few (if anyone) would know if they’re replicas... maybe just take them off every few months and check the inner rims and spokes for any cracks appearing?

Be aware of the insurance implications using fake/replica wheels... I saw a Chinese Turbine fake wheel in two halves after hitting the base of a road cone on the motorway!!! Shocked Frightening just how weak some of these Chinese wheels are!

I wouldn't run them!

I would check the marking on them; if they have either or both JWL or VIA or TUV on them they will be absolutely fine and have been subjected to appropriate testing.

Cheap tyres can be put on any wheel I'm afraid. My wheels are Hawke 22" and the dealer put some Haida on them. Whilst it wouldn't have been my choice ever, they aren't that bad. I'll use them through the summer and in Sep I'll get some decent tyres on them.

So they stamp Land Rover on it as well and they those will be fake as well.

Let’s have a bit of common sense. If in doubt then check out the certificates as well.

This really doesn’t have to be that hard.

Keep the Turbines 100% - they provide a contrast - the others would suit a silver or lighter colour car better, that’s my opinion - but it’s your car Thumbs Up Thumbs Up 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

I'm biassed - my car is black - with turbines - and I have excellent taste Whistle

I like them so much I have 2 sets - with winter & summer tyres.

Laughing see there lies the issue David, as a few forum members know, there was blood sweat and almost tears went into assembling them there set of 4 genuine turbines from across the Englandshire; and then they had to be refurbished by a good specialist to bring them back to factory new (and they did so to be fair)... So, the thought of now offloading them and sticking with the very nice ones we had in the first place... That's Range Rovers for you Big Cry

Laughing Thumbs Up
