I have an Odyssey Extreme as a second battery in my duel setup, I bought it second hand about 8 years ago, its been in 3 cars and still going strong. For my main cranking battery I have a Deka intimidator, again second hand. These are both stupidly expensive new but wont let you down. Fit and forget

Agree with Bushy30 on this, OE for the 4.4 TdV8 is 019 and AGM. Just fitted a LR supplied correct part number battery to Wife's fatty and that's what it is (got it for same price as an Exide, which it probably is anyway).

After fitting the FBH suddenly sprang back fully to life and the front and rear screen heaters work properly (which they didn't, kept shutting down). Drives:

My last car, a Chrysler Grand Voyager with all the electric gizmos was an absolute nightmare for none starting due to a flat battery. To cut a long & expensive story short- I fitted an Odyssey battery, problem solved! If I have to replace the battery on my FF 3.6 TDV8 that's what I'll be getting!

It's slightly lower on the AH but it has 950CCA
It's expensive & it weighs a ton but if it's as good as the last one I bought it'll be well worth the extra!
Fitting it tomorrow all being well, we shall see!

I sold my TD6 a few months back and removed the Oddessy battery before the sale. Out of interest, I tested it and it still sits at 12.7v and pumps out 1007cca so still as good a new. I will be going into My old SL500 for continued use. I will go into my TDV8 if needed. 2007 TDV8 VSE
