Fuel tank cap cord replacement

Choice; £39 or more for a whole new fuel cap with new cord or a try one of the aftermarket cords.

Chose the latter; fits perfectly, easy to instal, unable to comment on longevity at this stage.

Mine snapped ages ago but the plus side is I can use the cap on its side to hold the filler lever instead of my hand Rolling with laughter

I used an O ring from an oil filter change. Not as pretty, but worked. .

I didn't know they had a cord (I bought my car secondhand). I've always stuck the fuel cap nose in the place designed for it. Ron B. VK2OTC
