2012 Westie

Thought it's about time to present myself after lurking around here for some time.

I bought my L322 in October last year from a Belgian dealer. It came with one year warranty which already saved me €2000 in repairs as the car currently enjoys some time at the local garage fixing the normal stuff; oil cooler leak and broken seat heater. It also decided to kill the AC compressor (which was brand new when I bought the car).

It's a late 2012 Westminster with all the extras that came with those. Only thing I'm missing is Venture cam and adaptive cruise control.

It was bought new in Germany by a Frenchman and it has enjoyed a nice life at the French Riviera.

I've not been too active with my camera and doesn't have that many pictures of it yet but I'll provide you with one from the dealer and one I took the first evening in my ownership.

Very nice Thumbs Up

I don’t believe dealers this side of the channel would provide such a comprehensive warranty for 12 months Whistle

Got her back from the garage yesterday after fixing the oil leak and heated seat issue.
Been driving around with a VW rental car for almost a week and could not wait to get her back.

I've had several Pajeros, 4Runner and Audis etc in the past but I really have to say that the L322 is by far the best and most comfortable I've ever had.

It is a very complex car so I'm just waiting for the next thing to break down. But that's a part of the fun I guess. Cool

Thanks Rob99,

I've seen a few Westies but not many with AB grille and side vents. Maybe they had some extra at the end of the production and decided to get rid of them? Smile

Spring is in the air and covid-19 lockdown

Two projects last weekend, Fluid Film and polishing the side steps.

Last autumn i did some Fluid Film treatment around front and rear wheel arch, all suspension components and the most exposed underbody.
This weekend I swapped over to summer shoes and took the opportunity to do the rest of the car. Every cavity, underbody (again) and so on.
Now she smells like a freshly shaved sheep Sheep

Since I had to remove the side steps to access some hidden areas during the Fluid Film treatment, I took them for a spin with Autosol and the polishing machine.
