Looks very different to me - if you scroll up to the pics - looks more like a Disco unit

The LR removable one is the same concept of a 2" receiver, but the Westfalla one looks different.

Tbh the frame is exactly the same as the electrical one. I'm not quite sure why they don't sell it at the MD. all smug in my new plug!

Gearing up for a 405 soon ish I think.

I’ve hit the same “there’s no detachable option” from dealers, £450 quote fitted from my local installer.

I’ve had a read through, what’s the panel part number needed, the one with the hole for the deplorable with the extra material cut out? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

L405 tow cover - search eBay - there’s usually a few sub £30 and will likely have the part number too

TBH Mine isnt off and on much and I just rescrew the platsic clips in with the key fob plaque.

If you take it off and on a lot then might be worth it. I'd try it first.

I’ve been shopping around on line and come up with a wide range of prices from a detachable towbar for a 2016 Vogue.

RR deployable £3,300 not sure if that was incl or excl VAT, but it’s not happening.

RR detachable £1,500

Mobile fitted at home £650 to £1,120.

The £650 is Towbars and towing

It’s only required for a Thule two bike carrier to transport lightweight road bikes.

What possible advantage is there of paying nearly double for the RR detachable towbar ?

Land Rover don’t specifically do a detachable OE one. Deployable or drop plate only (which is kind of detachable)

The westfalia one is the properly detachable one. The unit is cheap enough and PF jones is a good place to start. I got a local place to fit mine. Quite reasonable really but some have done it themselves on the drive. westfalia made the tow bars for the 405 so are as close to OE as you can get for a detachable swan neck. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Had PF Jones fit a detachable Westfalia tow bar on my 405 on my drive a couple of weeks ago. £770 inc. VAT. It’s great, easy to pop on and off. So is the cover underneath. No need to cut the cover unless you want to leave the tow bar on for an extended time. Works a treat with my Thule bike rack. MY23 D350 HSE
