Paddleshift/Command-shift Mod for 2002-2010 cars | |
Does anyone have an interest in a Paddleshift/Command-shift modification for 2002-2010 cars?
I've just sold my car that has been used to develop a retro-fit kit to allow the earlier cars to have the same Paddleshift/Command-shift feature as the modern cars.
The kit takes about an hour to fit. It is completely plug-n-play and requires no cutting of wires etc. Everything continues to work as it should - even the heated steering wheel. No fault codes are registered and the car behaves exactly as if it came from the factory with Paddleshift.
The Paddleshift kit has 2 modes:
1. Pull on one of the paddles and the car immediately switches into command shift mode. You can change down or up as you wish. After about 10-15 seconds of not pulling a paddle, the car reverts to Auto mode.
2. Push the gear lever into Steptronic mode, and the car can be driven manually using the Paddleshift system.
Philip1972 bought my car last weekend and has reviewed the modification here: www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic54579.html
We're having 25 kits made at the moment, which should be ready in the next few weeks. Once they have arrived, we'll make them available on the For Sale section. The kits will come complete with 2 genuine LR paddles, and 2 modules that plug in to the existing steering wheel and gear-lever wiring. The aim is that the kits should be less than £200.
Please send a PM if you are interested in one of these first kits. Current:
