2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Sumatra Black

I just took off the reverse light lenses yesterday night, gave them a clean, the reverse lights are pretty shocking I have to say

putting back one of the lenses was a problem, it does not seem to click back safely into place, the top screw is useless (it does not hold the lens in place ) - so for now I have applied a little bit of UHU glue - as the lens is pretty expensive to replace if I lose one driving over those bloody speed bumps

But I must be doing this wrong, maybe one of my lenses was damaged in some way previously to my ownership, has anyone else had the same problem, and figured out a better solution than using glue to keep it it safely in place ??
