Well, thats just about me done......

Hi,

I have a few things left to sell (watch for ads later - Mercedes Sprinter Jack, Oil, Air Filters, Diesel Filter, GAP tool still on sale), my caravan is gone and my Rangie sold.

My Rangie (now gone)



My new transport (opposite ends of the scale).



It's different for sure, absolutely amazing performance and economy make me smile £9.35 to do 200+ miles LOL

Thank you one and all for your help, advice and banter, it's been a blast.

The i3 is a real eye opener, I got the one with the bigger battery and the Range Extender, instead of a 4.4V8 I now have a 0.6 2 cylinder LOL. Off the line there would be very few cars could keep up with it 0 to 30, after that youre fair game though LOL.

I would really like to do a complete build of an L322 in a roomy workshop with a ramp. The care and attention to detail along with improved materials could make an amazing car. The standard item from Land Rover definitely needs some work.

I really liked old fatty, it was a lovely place to be whilst wafting around the countryside, just so damned annoying at times, only minor things but it was time to change. BMW i3 Electric Car

Bit of a change there!, hope you enjoy the new car, driving an electric is a very different experience isn’t it?, I’d really like a Model 3 when they’ve been out for a while and used ones are more affordable.

Reminds me of when I chopped in my WRX Sti for a Citroen C1 after tiring of running that car...seriously the L322 is my last gas guzzling hurrah before I do the responsible thing and emit less carbon. A lot less.

I worked in the USA for a few months last year and I was given a Tesla Model X to use whilst I was there, I absolutely fell in love that car, it was brilliant, I would have one in the blink of an eye if i could afford one which I cant!

Electric does drive very differently to IC engine for obvious reasons, my little i3 can out drag most cars 0 to 30, it's quite impressive and even after 30 feels pretty lively. The real gem however is the running costs, gone is my £555 road tax, insurance has halved and assuming I do the same mileage per year the fuel costs i save £2100 all in all over £60 per week saved and thats before any maintenance is done. BMW i3 Electric Car

and John re maintenance, that i3 won't use any brake pads - I drove one and the regen on braking is quite heavy.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beer holder LOL

In an oidd sort of way it's a likeable car from a drivers point of view its incredible and fuel pumps are a thing of the past. Dont knock it until youve tried it hehe. BMW i3 Electric Car

Looks ok to me, but as usual a thumping great ticket price..for a fairly small car. There again it’s a big brand.
I suspect depreciation will be slightly less than a FFRR!!

Enjoy Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc
