Yes, that's why the term Full Fat really suits the current Rangie. It's probably the heaviest one they'll make for some time.

It is only a model identier after all. Older Range Rovers are not called that, you have the P38 metrocab and the Classic.

Future ones will use a lot more aluminium and other more advanced materials.
The CO2 reductions, fuel savings and performance benefits to using lighter construction methods are far too good not to use.

Despite being FFRR Lite the RRS is actually heavier than a FFRR too, as is a D3. Where you notice it most is that the RRS is a little slower 0-62 than the FFRR despite being more aerodynamic 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

If you don't like it mate, that's your choice. It's not like you're being force fed to like it or are being forced to buy one. Just respect Mick's decision.

I respect anyone's decision and everyone can go and buy whatever they like.
May I ask in return some respect for my decision not to like the drawings I have seen so far.
What's the point of a forum if everyone is agreeing and if you're the good guy if you say great and you're the bad guy if you disagree with someone's choice... which doesn't mean you don't respect his choice!

Santa Fe looks better! Laughing
Actually I don't think the new Range Rover will look anything like that (I hope not anyway!), it is just an artist's impression.
What I don't understand is how someone can get carried away by a new model when no one has any information yet save the fact it will be lighter and will probably have a lower roofline but that's about it.
I'll wait to get more info and facts before judging.

I can't understand how anyone could own an L322, so like the design cues there, yet then say the Sante Fe looks better....

Do you also own a Defender but prefer a Fiat 500? Very Happy

The rear of that mock up is bad though - looks like a Freelander 3 mock up.

It was just a way of saying I don't like the artist's impression of the new Range Rover, of course I don't have a sudden love for Santa Fe's!
Don't take what I'm writing to litelrally!
I'll put it this way: I prefer the L322 than this drawing of what is supposed to be the L405.
But Land Rover might come up with something truly great, aesthetically and technically, so we'll see!

Anyone seen the article in Autocar with the latest news on the new Range Rover L405?
I haven't been able to buy the magazine down here, was it interesting and is there anything we didn't know yet in there? Can anyone scan it if the article was worth reading? Thanks!

Bottom line is - Mick could probably turn it around for a small profit to someone who just can't wait should he not like it... you know how it is when the next new thing comes out... everyones got to have one. Reminds me of selling £1 coins for £2 Thumbs Up 2010 Disco XS TDV6, 2009 Freelander 2 GS
