Engine warning light came on today, car now on drive. No noticeable performance issues etc. Car is in warranty but rather than wait weeks for an appt at the dealer, I'm wondering if LA will provide someone who knows RRs who can come out and diagnose, potentially clearing a spurious warning, or will it be a generic road rescue bod who won't know? 17 MY Corris Grey 4.4 VAB

Get yourself a low cost code reader preferably one that can turn off the light . Then you will be "in charge of the situation" rather than the dealer . MIL can be on for the slightest transient thing and sometimes may never reappear one reset !

Mine broke in December as we pulled into Chateau Impney... I rang LA and was told i could have the AA out immediately or i could book an appointment with a master tech in the morning and the latter is what i did as i wanted the car fixed! Not just relayed to the nearest JLR dealer!

Thumbs Up

JLR tech turned up. Variable vane turbo actuator diagnosed as the fault. As the recent journeys were bimble commutes I didn't need enough power to notice if there was any related performance issue. Into the stealer next Friday( warranty repair).

Given the AA email addy that the report arrived from, the JLR techs are folded into the AA in some way. 17 MY Corris Grey 4.4 VAB
