Wearing overalls, changing drive belt and air con condensor.
(Lots of tea and swearing.....)

I did the drive belt replacement, a word of advise, have a diagram of the belt route or draw one before you start, its like the krypton factor to put back on if you dont.

Any tips, shortcuts?

The hardest thing to get off for me was the Viscous fan(Left hand thread) you do need some type of locking tool to stop the pully's turning when trying to undo the fan.

I think i just made one, can't be sure as it was a couple of years back.

The only other suggestion is maybe change the air con belt at the same time, something i didn't do and it is now squealing a bit

I think it has been covered on here before, or was that the other forum .

I have brought the viscous tools, probably could have bodged the tools but will speed up the job.

Deffinatly have a pic of the belt route! Also the pully is plastic so dont put any load on it or it will break! I've done this! No real shortcuts a simple and easy job if you can get the fan off easy!

Managed to change drive belt without removing the viscous fan, a bit tight buit manageable.

I certainly did Scarey, My Son came round and helped (Apprentice mechanic, always useful!)

Changed both drive belts and air-con condensor, surprised how much of the car we had to strip down to fit it all!
