Just bought a L405 4.4 Vogue SE

Love it, but there is an annoying rattle somewhere from the roof light area. Sounds like a loose wire tapping or similar.

What’s the best method to remove the roof console ? I could go back to the stealer but would rather just solve it quickly.

I have a similar rattle in certain temperatures. I think I saw a post somewhere mentioning it might be the cable that opens/closes the sunroof that causes it. I pulled my panel down to check things out, but didn't see anything obvious..not sure how to access the sunroof cable once in there, so can't confirm. Haven't bothered to look back into it once it got cold and the rattle stopped.

Open the roof and gummipledge all the rubbers as i find loads of the roofs squeak (ish) as the car flexes over undulations...

I don’t have a sunroof so no movement there. It’s a rattle not a squeak, but thanks Wot's that in old money

Well I removed the front roof console, but nothing loose in there. I even went for a drive with the roof console removed and it still rattled.
I don’t have a sunroof, but it’s almost as though it is creaking from where the class roof meets the bodywork.

Well it isn’t the centre roof console

It’s been at the dealer’s for 3 days now, after they blamed my dashcam installation for the rattle wasted a day.

They have decided today to get National Windscreens out to refix/seal the panoramic roof glass.

this rattle has been cured.

Car was taken to National Windscreens by the dealer to remove and refit the pan roof.
National Windscreens noticed that at the front NS pan roof has a lip which was turned in rather than turned out.

10 min job and rattle from the roof has gone  Wot's that in old money

And yes i completely agree, Stafford LR are a shocking shower! Bought this car from them... I would never deal with them again! Appalling!

TBF I sent an email to the Service Manager and he made sure that all issues were addressed and checked.

It seems that everything now works correctly, ( I've noticed a small scratch on the passenger side of the centre console leather lid, but that may have been there before ) Wot's that in old money

Hi I have this same clicking giger counter clicking when car heats up in sun.
Could you send a picture of this seal that was reversed.
I will check it.
