It's getting there...

So I thought it was about time I posted a more up to date photo, since I've now managed to rectify most of the external cosmetic issues I was aware of when I picked up my L322 as a project. Amongst a long list of all sorts of jobs tackled to date, bodywork wise both wings have now been replaced as they were off a later model and did not fully fit correctly, bonnet was replaced this weekend as the original had bent corners - which accounted for the first thing to be done which was a replacement windscreen.

The list of jobs tackled to date is far too long to list here, but, this weekend saw a few things completed, after spending an enjoyable, albeit wet and cold, couple of days working on the beast. Still a good few jobs to do, including a proper clean and polish, not to mention removing the badly painted and spaced lettering on the bonnet, but I have a couple of mechanical tasks to get done first. Anyway....here's how it looked yesterday:

I've also spent a lot of time gathering information from the forums, but I thought it would be good to post a positive thread rather than my usual cries for help Laughing

Yes, I'm certainly enjoying my ownership! It is all worth it, there is nothing quite like the feeling of driving one of these, it's rekindled my interest in owning a motor vehicle once more, and I enjoy doing what I can on it, to make it my own. I'm sure not everyone will agree with my tastes, but, to each their own Wink
