L322 parking brake cable broke

Hello

I have L322 range rover 2008 with 3.6TDV8. I had squeaky lower rear bush and i had to take whole hub off to change it, when detaching hub hand brake cable was rusted very hard and it snapped, I had to get it in driving condition so i just put it all back together without left hand hand brake since i never use it. But one day my girlfriend borrowed my range rover and she used hand brake so it went to fault mode. (epb module sucked broken cable as much as it could and parking brake light has been flashing in instrument cluster since that)

Now i have new cable and rear axle is dropped, but how i can "reset" hand brake module and install new cable since old cable is sucked in. I have iid tool but i think parking brake module has to be reset manually since it has jammed itself because of sucking broken cable to the limit.

And because I had to remove exhaust I'm now removing dpf/catalytic convertors, and yes my it has already been programmed. I just wonder what are those two rubber lines which attach to exhaust after dpfs? can i just block or cut them?

Cut old cable between EPB module and hub, then cut and remove a section of the outer sleeve nearer module so that you can pull the inner cable back out from the EPB module.

Alternatively remove EPB cable from the other hub (ie dismantle brake disc etc etc) and have someone push the inner cable back in. This will push the other side of the broken cable back out.

Worked for me, but a real pig of a job.

When all back together, then follow the EPB reset procedure.

Good luck, Rich L322 3.6 TDV8 Vogue. 07MY
