United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Rimini Red
New L322 TDV8 3.6 Owner

Hi guys,

Just a few lines to introduce myself, been plundering the great info on the Forum for a few weeks in the build up to buying my first FFRR and have now taken the plunge! Car is a 2010 3.6 Vogue, red, 70K, full Landie Main dealer history except for the last service. Everything works so far (bonus!) but I'm braced for problems. Bought it down in Oldham from The Vogue Centre (James seems a straight up guy) and drove it 350 miles home to Scotland - what a great distance car!!! Just wafted up the road Smile and plenty of oomph. It is a touch thirsty, £110 to fill up is as much as I've ever paid but then it was running on fumes....

So far I've replaced the two top intercooler hoses with silicone as a preventative measure and trying hard to let those turbos have a wee warm up and cool down. Plan to do a bit of rust treatment/prevention around the wheelarches and tailgate when the weather improves, got some tins of Dinitrol lurking in the garage somewhere....

Ordered a boot liner, some OEM rubber matts (came without any and I didn't notice to ask...doh!) and a s/h Britpart dog guard.

Mostly it'll be a road car but when it needs tyres I fancy some with offroad potential, maybe 50/50 tyres as there are plenty of tracks to investigate around here and I like the way they look Laughing .

So far learned a load from here, great site Very Happy Thanks!
Cheers

Ta for the welcome Guys Smile Yeah, loads in black, not many in red. I like the dark blue too but I'd settle for a dose of reliability over any colour LOL.

Nice colour Thumbs Up
Check your wheel nuts for any swollen ones. Replace any asap. Ditch the locking wheels nuts and replace with normal ones... Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Thanks, yeah I had the same tricky choice, the 4.4 is better, but in the end this one ticked the most boxes Smile Once we excluded the ones with light interiors (cos we are in the country, have kids, dogs etc) not that much choice in budget

Cheers

Go big or go home Rolling with laughter Thumbs Up
Seat filters are small filters under the seat bases for the heated/cooled seats if you have them
Foam blocks = open bonnet. Look near windscreen bottom corners. Soak up water.
