If I'm not mistaken you just have to drive the car into a prearranged steel container and shut the doors to defeat a tracker.

Sad news indeed
Interestingly I have a tracker fitted to my old bus and when it was fitted the chap doing the fitting said they always fit them in the same place seems a bit daft. Not sure any of them are any good but then I have an old one without keyless.

I found a stolen L405 RHD for sale abroad and it was stolen from the Met area! I rang to inform them of my findings and to my surprise the officer heading up the special unit was happy to tell me just how annoyed he was! They were all being stolen by an Eastern European gang and “here’s the kicker!” They removed the tracker from almost all the cars and put them in the public refuse bin outside the Police Station! Shocked I’m guessing, just to mock the officers! Ner Ner
All trackers in London were put in by 2 or 3 companies and as the above says, all put in that companies unique place! Sniggering Banging Head

Mr Tee, just a bit of info.

Wanted to fit this system to my car but found out that it will make your LR Warranty null and Void. They will not cover anything if they suspect the Ghost System is interfering, so the way LR perform that would probably be anything and everything.

Bigglez,

Yes absolutely, I looked into it when I purchased my new car and asked LR if it was approved and that was the answer I received.

They did advise of another system which I now have fitted which is covered by LR Warranty which disables the starting of the car even if they clone your keys, even, if you are say, shopping or eating in a restaurant or whatever, if you dont have the keys in a faraday pouch or they have cloned your keys as you have pulled up.

Ultimately if they really want your car then they will pick it up and take it away, but the more difficult you make it for them the better and if they are unable to start the car then they will probably move on rather than risk hanging around.

I really wish you all the luck in getting your car back. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up 19MY SVA-Dynamic Spectral Chromoflair Blue but colour not available in profile

Investigating the correlation between past and present employees of said 2 or 3 security providers and eastern european criminals must be too hard or politically sensitive to undertake then?
