See thread below for the sorry tale of my stolen FF. I'm now gearing up for a fight with the insurer over value as they are already saying that buying a like for like car doesn't mean what it would cost to buy one from a dealer or private person. LOL. So they are claiming they'll go with Glass' guide.

Does anyone have access as it's stopped valuations for the public who'd run a value for me?

Crikes! I thought Glass's Guide had died a death yonks ago. Having said that, it may well still be around.
I used to be in the trade when Glass's was about, but nowadays, Manheim's especially, use Auto Trader valuations on their sales catalogue. Years ago, one would spend half the auction looking up exact specification of said vehicle only to find it'd been sold 4 cars ago! Now everything [to trade buyers] is listed on the sales catalogue for ease.

I digress slightly, personally I'd use We Buy Any Car .com as rock bottom, trade-in price as a rock bottom gauge.
If you go onto Auto Trader website & put in the reg of a similar vehicle you fancy it'll come up as 'buying' or 'selling' here it'll give you both 'private' sale price & also 'retail' sale price, this should give you a pretty good indication on sales values.

You will have to argue with them, but ultimately they have a responsibility to put you back into a similar car or give you the cash equivalent, Auto Trader is your best resource to prove the cost of an equivalent replacement.

Have done so - and also snapshotted that there is no car anywhere near the price on autotrader or on LR website. They are still bleating on about that not being relevant and it's all down to Glass' guide.

Insurance company about to tell you what a negotiator you are

It did - Stan - interestingly Parkers had boxes to add some of them so that's something. Looking on the ombudsman site they take Cazana, CAP, Glass and Parkers into account in a complaint and if you bought the car recently they may allow adverts as the guides may not have caught up.

So Cazana values it at what I paid for it up 5K more
CAP/HPI values it at slightly under
Parkers values it at what I paid for it to slightly over.

Do you mind sharing which insurance company you’re with? If they’re giving you unnecessary grief others may want to avoid.

Years ago I was in a similar situation with a Renault Espace that was broken into and set on fire. The insurance company would not agree with the figure I disclosed when I took out the insurance, I ended up taking them to court. The Judge ruled either pay the price I put on the form or find me another car of similar age, mileage, condition etc, he gave them 7 days to comply and awarded fees to me so they had to pay my court fees and expenses.
If they were happy to accept your valuation when you took out the insurance, they should pay out that amount. BMW i3 Electric Car

We don’t bother with the subscription anymore,although when I log on to the trade auction places they have a list of CAP and Glasses valuations, I can see if there’s anything of similar age/mileage if you want?, sorry I can’t be of more help, the situation you’re in sounds terrible!.
