Illuminated tread plate retrofit

Loads of people have said the cables are there already. Was going to buy a set advertised on here. Just took one of my tread plates off and can’t see any wires or plugs under carpet ?

They’re tucked away and not immediately obvious, mine had a sort of blanking plug fitted to each connector which you need to remove.

From memory, the front door ones are located under the carpet / foam around the base of the B pillar.

JCW. Your bang on. They’re are reasonably hidden away. Kind of expected them to be more centre of the tread plates for some reason.
