1st year is always the worst. Although the way things are going year 2&3 may not be much better

It’s not just the L405 that suffers massive depreciation, it’s all Range Rover branded vehicles.

That was a £100k car for the first owner - your depreciation is pretty good to be honest - I did the sums for what it cost me for a new VSE over 4 years - and it came out at around £20k a year to run including all costs and depreciation for the first 4 years - I did write a detailed post re this - will see if can find it 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

Here you go - and this is for a 322 and not a 405 which is substantially more £

End of September 2019, I paid £52k for my SDV8 AB, from a main dealer. 28 months old. 20,500 miles, standard AB spec but with the optional 24 way seats and privacy glass. Full list price would have been approx. £108k I think. |

Hardly a surprise that quite expensive cars produced in fairly large numbers depreciate - for real depreciation, spare a thought for people who buy things like Bentaygas. |

I took my 2017 31000m L494 SDV8 Autobiography into a dealer today with a view to trading it in for a L405 SDV8. I bought my L494 new in Oct 2017 for £86650 and today I got offered £38500 for it. So thats £48150 in 28 months or £1720 per month in depreciation

It makes you wonder if contract hire/leasing is the way forward. Although the prices for that will start shooting up when their systems become aware of the high depreciation going on at the moment. |

Friend bought a Tesla for £120K and sold it for just under £60k within 12 months because of battery problems etc, now that's what you call depreciation!! All LR cars from 1984
