Sounds like a plan..... Good looking car though.... Thumbs Up

Was thinking of selling my Cayenne but with 14mpg, might not be the best time to try either.... Laughing

would have thought someone who could afford a cayenne would not worry about fuel costs?

but a 'cheap' GC might make them think twice

tbh if i could get a decent insurance quote for it as a 'second car' i'd probably keep it

Try Admiral Multi car. They gave me 20% discount and mirrored my full no claims on second car. Used to be with Churchill who I was very happy with, but they wouldnt give anything away on second car. Smile

I don't worry about the fuel costs, knew what the MPG was before buying it... Rolling Eyes

The way I look at it, we get 50+ mpg in my wife's Smart roadster, so the average between the 2 cars is 30+ mpg.... Laughing

However, as I was originally looking for a FFRR, and got fed up with the sheds that I viewed at the time, I bought the Cayenne. I always liked them, plus got a reasonable deal...

However, FFRR is an itch I just have to scratch.... maybe sooner rather than later.....Wink

Have you tried an Admiral Multi-Car quote....?

That's who I have been with for the last few years, saves me a few pennies, and as I sometimes buy a car on impulse, I can add/remove cars on the policy very easily.... Cool

sorry Paulo - just realised my post might be read the 'wrong' way

what i meant was someone who was considering buying your cayenne would probably not be concerned about fuel costs!

No worries Nick, no offence taken, my bad...!!.... Embarassed

I'm sure the sale will go through for the Jeep, looks like an excellent example, as opposed to my uncle's which he has had from new, and has more battle scars than any car I've ever seen.... Shocked

Best laugh is, he keeps asking me to clean it up and machine polish it for him, I've offered him some petrol and a match for it... Laughing

well it went to my jeep mechanic for a check before being sold and a hole was found in the exhaust - not being one to bodge things up a new exhaust has been fitted (not Gibson due to the cost/time delay getting from the USA as there are now no UK stockists/importers i know of as MDG have closed after the death of the proprietor)

also the bushes on the front Edelbrock IAS Performance shocks are worn - was a bit worried as Edelbrock limited Lifetime Warranty does not apply outside USA

but a quick email was fired off the Edelbrock and they are sending replacement bushes FOC - great service Thumbs Up

Very good of you to have it all checked over and any issues sorted prior to sale, like me you must like a clear conscience..... Laughing

I'm sure the new owner will be well chuffed.... Thumbs Up

at least i'll sell the car with a clear conscience Smile
