Just wondering if anyone might be able to shed some light on an issue I’m having with my 3.6TDV8, please.

When I stop the engine after a spirited drive, there is smoke coming from the passenger side of the engine.

Only seems to happen after the engine is loaded up, for example after a long hill climb.

I don’t think it’s exhaust, as the engine is off and the smoke is still there.

Also, I’m pretty sure it’s not the fuel burning heater as it’s summer down here 😀

What's the smell like?

I recently had a fuel leak from and injector fuel supply pipe. Fuel was leaking down on to the exhaust manifold and smoking. It must have been doing it all the time but I only noticed it when I stopped.

Presume you have no error messages?

The smoke is a sorta beige colour. Bit like wood smoke.

Seems to be coming predominantly from the rear of the engine (towards the firewall).

How difficult was it to find the fuel leak? 2007 3.6 TDV8

after you stop take fresh air box (pollen filter) out, use mirror to take good look around back of the engine. 2012 TDV8 Black Edition
